January 13, 2007 - My son, who is 12, takes karate and earned his black belt last October. He really loves it and hates to miss class. To make a long story short, he was working on some kicks during class, jumped up to do a kick, and lost his balance. Upon doing so, he fell to the ground without really hurting himself, but he somehow hit himself in the nose with his knee while his feet were in the air and travelling downward. His nose immediately began to bleed and, consequently, the blood made its way to his uniform in several places.

Once he got home, we immediately got out the Immacu-10 and I began to spray the blood spots. The mixture I had in the spray bottle was 2 capfuls of Immacu-10 to 16 ounces of water. I honestly did not know if that dilution would be strong enough. My method was basically the same as what I have done with most other stains.

I spray the spot a few times, then use the nozzle of the spray bottle to rub the spot back and forth. Then, spray some more and rub the spot several times. You sort of get a feel for how much of each to do, depending on the size of the spot, what made the stain, and how long it has set in. Sometimes, it's best to let Immacu-10 soak in for 10 or 15 minutes, then start rubbing it out. I have used a terry cloth towel to help out in the process, also. One more thing: do not use another cleaner on a spot and then put it in the laundry, or do not just put it in the laundry. This often "sets in" the stain, rendering Immacu-10 and virtually all other stain removers, useless.

Back to the uniform: after working with the blood stains for a while, I was able remove them. Afterwards, I sprayed one last time, then added the uniform to cold water in the washing machine. As you can see in the above photographs, the stains came completely out and it looks quite well..

Surface Rust on Pruners

September 8, 2006 - I have had good luck using Immacu-10 to remove surface rust from tools, bicycles and scooters, so far. What do you think about the above picture? I just sprayed on Immacu-10 while rubbing out the rust with a stiff brush and it worked great to get rid of the rust. It is not going to get out deep rust, but it does a fine job on the surface rust.

There is a story behind these pruners. We bought a fixer-upper house a few years ago, which included a big "pile" of junk, basically, in the back behind the barn. There were all kinds of things in that pile - Christmas lights, a large tea jug, small toys, branches, dirt, broken glass, etc. It was huge and took a while to tame. One of the items I found in the pile was this pair of pruners, which have worked perfectly since that day. However, they did develop a little rust after I mis-placed them for a few weeks last year, so I am glad Immacu-10 works like it does. I am also glad Immacu-10 has no strong-smelling chemicals and is not toxic.

White and Blue Paint on Door Hinges

June 26, 2007 - My son's room was recently renovated and the door hinges needed some serious attention before putting the door back on today. Those hinges have been there since we bought the house. They have received more than their share of inadvertant paint. Note the two sections in the "After" photo - the one to the left of the barrel and the one to the right. I cleaned both using Immacu-10, but in two different ways as an experiment.

The section on the left is cleaned with Immacu-10 being sprayed on a green scrub pad, then rubbing off the paint. This was really fast, but notice that you can see some scrub marks. It worked well and fast, but the scrub pad is not the right "enabler" if you want to minimize the scratches.

The section on the right is cleaned with Immacu-10 and an old T-shirt I had out in the barn. I just sprayed Immacu-10 in a section of the T-shirt and started. The paint was pretty thick, so it did not come off right away. I kept moving to a different section of the shirt, spraying more Immacu-10 on the shirt, and rubbing the paint off the hinger. After about 5 minutes, the paint was gone. On some of the caked-on parts, I used my nail tucked inside the shirt to sort of scrape off the loosened paint. It worked great!

The best thing is that I was not exposed to any harmful chemicals, it probably cost just a few cents of Immacu-10, and there was no odor. Once again, Immacu-10 is paying for itself and getting the job done.

June 26, 2007 - Last night, the family took a little drive to an ice cream store to celebrate the good score that one of my kids made on the ACT test. We visited a Maggie Moo's "treatery" to try out some of their offerings. I am not generally a chocolate ice cream lover, but decided on a chocolate and peanut butter cone that was quite rich.

Well, you would have thought I drove in from the farm, if you would have seen me, not even through the top layer of the cone. I had spilled the chocolate ice cream on my white shirt in several places and looked like a big kid with sloppy eating habits.

We arrived home and I immediately opened the cabinet, retrieved our trusty plastic spray bottle of Immacu-10 and water, and began the process of removing the stain. It's really a simple process - you just have to keep at it and stay focused.

Here's what I did: I laid out the shirt on a cloth. Then, I sprayed some Immacu-10 (2-3 capfuls of Immacu-10 mixed with 16 ounces of cool water) directly on the spot or stain, and used the nozzle to rub in the solution. I just kept doing that on each spot until the stain was gone. After the stain disappears, I usually take the extra step of putting the shirt into the wash (cold water) and washing it. I took that extra step in this case, and you can see in the picture how well it came out.

I took the "before" picture last night, and took the "after" picture today. The little bit of difference in the tint/color of the photos is the difference between night and day. The thing to concentrate on is that the stain is gone. It is no more. Just make sure that you mix the Immacu-10 with water, and do not use it full strength. It needs to "activate" with water. You will notice there is no odor and there are no harsh chemicals to bother you when you use Immacu-10. That's one of the reasons why I love Immacu-10 and why I am privileged to be able to offer it to you!
